Christopher Buchanan, MD

Dr Christopher Buchanan is a maternal-fetal medicine specialist, offering preconception counseling, genetic counseling, ultrasounds for prenatal diagnosis, labor, delivery and postpartum care. His areas of expertise include management of pre-existing medical complications and fetuses with birth defects, as well as fetal intervention and care for multiple gestations.
Dr Buchanan’s research interests include chorioamnionitis, multiple gestations, fetal intervention and preterm labor.
Dr Buchanan is an assistant professor in the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Women’s Health, Division of Maternal-Fetal Medicine, at Saint Louis University School of Medicine.
